Where boys and young men find clarity in a world full of noise.

Boys and young men are navigating increasing pressure, distraction and uncertainty. In Australia, around 1 in 4 young people report experiencing high psychological distress (Mission Australia, 2023), often impacting their confidence, sense of direction and their ability to navigate everyday challenges.

Research shows that consistent long term mentoring relationships and structured wellbeing programs can significantly improve resilience, build essential life skills and increase engagement in young people.

At Days at Ease, we bridge this gap. Using sport, music and creativity as engagement tools, we deliver structured, strengths-based and relational mentoring for boys and young men. This helps them build connection , develop clarity in their direction, discipline in their actions and confidence to navigate challenges — strengthening their social development, emotional regulation and ability to engage in everyday life.

❊ Testimonials

The impact of mentoring.

Perspectives from the mentoring journey.

"At the heart of it, mentoring meets the basic human need of letting young people know they matter. This sense of belonging is an internal asset essential for healthy development and long-term academic success."

— The Annie E. Casey Foundation: Spotlight on Youth Mentoring (2024)

"Quality mentoring is one of the most cost-effective youth interventions. It doesn't just change a child's day; it changes their trajectory, reducing socioeconomic disadvantage and increasing long-term independence."

— Thirty Years of Mentoring Impact Data: BBBS (2025)

"Early intervention mentoring is a critical 'safety net.' By identifying needs before they reach a crisis point, mentors sit alongside school wellbeing teams to provide the stability and reliability disengaged students need to thrive."

— The Educator: Youth Mental Health Crisis Report (2022/2026)

  • At Days at Ease, we categorise our mentoring into three core Streams: Level Up (Sport), Press Play (Music), and Blank Canvas (Creative). Think of a Stream as the overarching theme of the mentoring. Within these Streams, we deliver specific Programs tailored to the group's interests - for example, the Level Up stream might be delivered through a Basketball or Soccer program, while Press Play might focus specifically on a Songwriting or Music Production program.

  • Days at Ease provides structured mentoring programs for boys who would benefit from guidance, confidence building and positive role models. Our programs support young people navigating challenges such as confidence, emotional regulation, discipline, motivation and direction.

  • A youth mentor provides guidance, encouragement and a consistent positive presence in a young person’s life. Rather than acting as a teacher or counsellor, a mentor helps young people reflect on experiences, build confidence and develop life skills through conversation, shared activities and real world challenges.

  • We intentionally keep groups small, with a maximum of four participants per session. This allows the mentor to build meaningful relationships with each young person and provide the attention needed for genuine growth.

Alternative group sizes are available only through custom delivery arrangements to meet specific organisational needs.
